Mother of Pearl is nacre, the smooth calcium carbonite lining of iridescent lustre found in some shells. Whiteness is produced by bleaching. Mother of Pearl has been treasured in jewellery and decorative items for some centuries. In caring for Mother of Pearl beads, be aware that alchohol can damage the nacre.Sold as temporary strung 38cm strands.
