Blue Sponge Quartz

Legend - Quartz is the most abundant mineral, found worldwide.  There are two main varieties - crystalline and cryptocrystalline which includes Chalcedony, Agate, Jasper, Onyx and Carnelian.  Sponge quartz is of the crystalline variety which comes in an amazing range of crystal size and colour.  It is very tough enabling it to be cut in many different shapes.

Description - These Blue Sponge Quartz beads are dyed an attractive blue/green colour.  The crystalline structure gives a marbled effect which resembles sponge - hence the name "Sponge Quartz".   Sold as temporary strung 38cm (approx) strand
