Coffee Bean Jasper

Legend - Like most "Jaspers" this stone seems to appear under various names. It is also known as Chinese Picture Jasper, Variegated Jasper, Artistic Jasper and Paintbrush Jasper.  Found in the mountains of China, it is not a true Jasper - technically it is a siltstone, a fine grained sedimentary rock with little or no silica nor exposed to extreme pressure or heat.  For protection and durability they have a clear stabilising coating.

Properties - It is believed to be the stone of protection and grounding. It is said to give a calming effect, and bring stability and security, and to balance physical, emotional and intellectual states.

Description - These Coffee Bean Jasper beads are a beautiful soft pale silvery grey with a various markings in grey, black rust and wine - no two beads appear the same. Sold as temporary strung 40cm (approx) strands.
