Garnet
Legend - The name is derived from the Latin word “granatus” meaning “like a grain” referring to its occurence. Red garnets were the most commonly used gemstones in the Late Antique Roman world.
Properties - It is the stone of purity and truth. Symbol of love and compassion. When worn as jewellery it is believed to increase one’s self esteem and bring constancy to friendships. It is also believed to stimulate success in business.
Description - These are Almandine Garnet beads, deep red/brown with an even colour. Coin beads show natural blemishes. Sold as temporary strung 40cm (approx) strands.
